Join us for an essential legal and legislative briefing as part of our upcoming Legal & Legislative Symposium, featuring insightful analysis from two experienced PA Legislative Action Committee delegates: Sara Austin, Esq., CCAL (Austin Law Firm, LLC) and Kimberly Tague, Esq. (Eckert Seamans). These seasoned legal professionals will provide a comprehensive overview of the key legislative and judicial developments currently shaping the landscape for community associations in Pennsylvania.

The Pennsylvania Legislative Action Committee (PA LAC) is a volunteer-driven advocacy body composed of association homeowners, board members, managers, and industry professionals representing the interests of tens of thousands of community associations and millions of residents across the Commonwealth. PA LAC researches and reviews proposed legislation, takes positions on bills that may impact association governance and homeowners, educates lawmakers and stakeholders, and works to influence outcomes that support responsible community association management and homeowner interests.

During this session, Sara and Kimberly will:

  • Highlight critical legislation the PA LAC is actively tracking in Harrisburg. including proposals that would clarify and enhance common interest ownership statutes, promote transparency of association data, establish frameworks for residential electric vehicle charging in communities, and address tax equity concerns for association homeowners.

  • Discuss the potential impact of recent court decisions on statutory interpretation and association governance practices.

  • Explore how these legislative and legal developments may affect board operations, homeowner rights, compliance requirements, and overall community health throughout the Commonwealth.

Whether you’re a community leader, manager, legal professional, or homeowner involved with an association, this symposium offers timely, practical insights to help you understand the evolving public policy environment and what it means for your community.
